What is a Nano Filtration Plant?

Nanofiltration (NF) is a membrane filtration process with pore sizes between Ultrafiltration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) — typically 0.001–0.01 microns. NF membranes selectively reject divalent and multivalent ions (calcium, magnesium, sulphates, heavy metals) while allowing monovalent ions (sodium, chloride) to pass at lower operating pressure than RO.

This selective rejection makes NF ideal for water softening, colour removal from textile effluent, natural organic matter (NOM) removal, and pharmaceutical process water where partial demineralisation is required without full RO treatment.

NF systems consume 30–50% less energy than equivalent RO systems due to lower operating pressures.

Nano Filtration Plant in Gurgaon — Why It Matters

Gurgaon's NF demand centres on water softening for residential societies and corporate campuses dealing with hard borewell water, offering a lower-cost alternative to full RO for hardness-focused applications.

Given the volume of RO installations we deliver in Gurgaon, NF is discussed as an alternative wherever the client's primary concern is softening rather than complete demineralization.

Key industrial areas we serve in Gurgaon:

IMT Manesar Udyog Vihar Industrial Sector 58 Industrial HSIIDC Kundli Farrukhnagar Industrial
Regulatory Note: Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) mandates STPs for Group Housing projects and ETPs for industrial units in Gurgaon.

Our 4-Step Process — From Design to Handover

1

Feedwater Analysis

Ion analysis — calcium, magnesium, sulphates, colour, NOM. Membrane selection for target rejection.

2

System Design

NF membrane array design. Pre-treatment requirements. Antiscalant programme. Recovery calculations.

3

Supply & Install

Skid-mounted NF system. Factory tested. Site installation and integration with pre/post treatment.

4

Commissioning

Performance testing — rejection rates, permeate quality, recovery. CIP programme setup. Training.

Why Choose Optima Water Solutions
