We are a leading Ultra Violet System Supplier in India. Ultraviolet Sterilizer provides a safe means of water Purification, which has been a proven process for many years. This method is now widely recognized & Commercial ultraviolet disinfection systems are specifically designed to treat microbiologically contaminated ground or surface waters. These disinfection systems offer a 4-log reduction (99.99%) in bacteria, virus and protozoan cysts (specifically giardia lamblia and cryptosporidium). This UV process is quick, simple, inexpensive and environmentally friendly as it does not add anything to your water and creates no disinfection by-products. This is most ecological way of treating water & waste water.
UV disinfection is a physical process rather than a chemical disinfectant, which eliminates the need to generate, handle, transport, or store toxic/hazardous or corrosive chemicals.
There is no residual effect that can be harmful to humans or aquatic life.

UV disinfection exposes water to UV-C light (wavelength ~254 nm) inside a stainless steel chamber. UV-C radiation penetrates the cell walls of microorganisms and disrupts their DNA, preventing them from reproducing. This achieves a 4-log (99.99%) reduction in bacteria, viruses, and protozoan cysts without adding any chemicals.
UV disinfection has no chemical storage or handling requirements, produces no disinfection by-products (unlike chlorine which forms THMs and HAAs), does not alter taste, odor, or pH of water, provides instant disinfection, and is effective against chlorine-resistant pathogens like Cryptosporidium and Giardia.
A 4-log reduction means a 99.99% reduction in the target microorganism population. For example, if 10,000 bacteria are present per mL of water, after 4-log UV treatment only 1 bacteria per mL would remain.
UV disinfection requires clear water with low turbidity (below 1 NTU), low color, and low suspended solids. Pre-treatment with a Pressure Sand Filter and/or UF membrane is typically required to ensure the UV light can penetrate the water effectively.
Commercial UV lamps for water treatment typically have a rated life of 9,000–12,000 hours (approximately 12–18 months of continuous operation). Annual lamp replacement is recommended to maintain guaranteed disinfection performance.
Yes. UV disinfection is widely used as a final polishing step in STP and ETP effluent treatment to disinfect treated water before discharge or reuse. It is increasingly replacing chlorination for its environmental advantages.
