Optima Water Solutions supplies and installs Ultrafiltration Plants in Andhra Pradesh for surface water clarification, pre-treatment for RO systems, drinking water production, and wastewater reuse. Our UF membrane systems deliver consistent output quality with low energy consumption and minimal chemical use — backed by ISO 9001:2015 certification and 12+ years of experience.
Ultrafiltration (UF) is a pressure-driven membrane separation process that removes suspended solids, bacteria, viruses, colloids, and macromolecules from water using hollow fibre or spiral wound membranes with pore sizes of 0.01–0.1 microns.
UF systems are widely used as a pre-treatment step before Reverse Osmosis — dramatically extending RO membrane life by reducing SDI (Silt Density Index). They are also used for direct drinking water production from surface sources where turbidity and biological contamination are the primary concerns.
Unlike conventional media filtration, UF provides an absolute barrier against bacteria and protozoa, making it ideal for drinking water applications where consistent microbiological safety is essential.
Facilities operating near APSEZ Visakhapatnam, Polepally SEZ, Sri City Industrial in Andhra Pradesh face close scrutiny over wastewater discharge. AP Pollution Control Board (APPCB) regulates industrial effluent. Pharmaceutical, steel, and aquaculture industries face strict treatment requirements. ZLD mandated for several industrial categories.
Optima Water Solutions has built a track record of UF Plant installations serving Andhra Pradesh and the surrounding area, with local support for commissioning, operator training, and ongoing maintenance.
Key industrial areas we serve in Andhra Pradesh:
Turbidity, SDI, TSS, biological analysis. Membrane material and configuration selection.
Hydraulic design, backwash programme, CIP frequency. Skid-mounted or modular design.
Factory-assembled skids. Site installation and pipe connections. Integration with pre-filters and post-RO.

UF plant cost in Andhra Pradesh depends on capacity. A 1 m³/hr system starts from ₹1.5–3 Lakh. A 10 m³/hr UF skid costs ₹8–15 Lakh. A 100 m³/hr system for municipal or industrial use ranges ₹40–80 Lakh. Call +91 9711880791 for a detailed quote based on your Andhra Pradesh water quality.
UF removes suspended solids, bacteria, viruses, and colloids but does NOT remove dissolved salts (TDS). RO removes both suspended matter AND dissolved salts. For high-TDS groundwater, you need RO. For surface water with biological/turbidity issues but acceptable TDS, UF may be sufficient. Many systems use UF as pre-treatment before RO.
UF membranes last 5–8 years with proper backwash and CIP (Clean-In-Place) maintenance. Aggressive feedwater chemistry or poor maintenance can reduce membrane life. Optima's AMC programme in Andhra Pradesh includes scheduled CIP and membrane integrity testing to maximise membrane lifespan.
Yes. UF is very effective for river/canal water pre-treatment in Andhra Pradesh. However, for drinking water application, post-UF disinfection (chlorination or UV) is also required. If TDS is acceptable, UF + disinfection gives potable water. If TDS is high, UF + RO is needed.
Yes. UF as RO pre-treatment is one of our most common configurations in Andhra Pradesh. It reduces SDI below 3, eliminating colloidal fouling of RO membranes and extending their life significantly. We design integrated UF+RO skids for seamless operation.
